Will we need to rewrite our existing PL/SQL applications?
OceanBase offers an Oracle-compatible mode for many data types, SQL syntax and PL/SQL features. Compatibility depends on the version and features in use. OMA identifies the adjustments needed before migration.
Can our data stay in Vietnam?
OceanBase can run in your own data center or with a domestic provider. VDP works with you to define storage, security and operational requirements for each system.
What does the complimentary assessment include?
An OMA assessment for one Oracle system, a compatibility report, estimated migration effort and a TCO comparison with your current setup. Typical timing is 2–3 weeks, depending on scope and available information.
Will it cost less than our existing system?
Cost depends on vCPU scale, architecture, existing licenses and service needs. VDP prepares a TCO estimate using your system data, rather than promising a single saving rate for every business.
Who is responsible for support after go-live?
VDP is your local point of contact for L1/L2 support and works with OceanBase engineering for specialist issues. 24/7 coverage, response times and escalation are defined in your contractual SLA.
